Cape aloe, cascara sagrada, and senna are all natural herbs known for their laxative effect on the body. They have been used for centuries to help relieve constipation (irregularity). All three elements contain naturally occurring chemicals called anthraquinone glycosides.

These glycosides work to increase peristalsis (contractions of the intestinal walls). These anthraquinone laxatives are also believed to ease constipation by increasing the amount of water and electrolytes in the intestine.

In addition to the natural laxatives cape aloe, cascara sagrada, and senna, Cape Aloe Lax includes fennel seed and African bird pepper, which help make the process gentler.

Vitabase Cape Aloe Lax is an excellent natural alternative to other laxatives. It can be used for the relief of occasional constipation (irregularity). This product generally produces bowel movements in 6 to 12 hours.

Suggested Use: Oral dosage for adults and children over 18 years of age: One (1) capsule daily taken at bedtime or when needed with 8 ounces of water, juice or beverage of choice. Do not take more than (1) capsule in 24 hours. Consult a physician before administering to children under 18 years of age.

This product is not intended for pregnant or nursing mothers or children under the age of 18. Do not use this product if you have abdominal pain, diarrhea or loose stools. Do not use this product for more than one week or exceed the recommended daily dose. Rectal bleeding and/or failure to have bowel movement after use of a laxative formula may be an indication of a more serious condition. Should this occur, or if you have a known medical condition and are taking medication, consult your physician prior to taking this or any dietary supplement. Keep out of reach of children.
